The tyre tread depth measurement unit TM 1000 from MAHA automatically measures the tread over the whole tyre length and the whole tyre width.

The tread depth measurement makes a significant contribution to the increase
in traffic safety. As the tread depth decreases, the risk of aquaplaning
increases. A regular check is essential for safety reasons. A conventional tread profile measurement determines the values on a random basis at fewer points on the tyre and therefore has a limited significance on the state of the entire tread.

The TM 100 is integrated in a roller set of the MAHA brake tester series. This
orientation allows the tread depth measurement to be performed within the context
of a brake test.
